Paul Houghton is an expert in the delivery of Affordable Housing and Residential Care projects. He is a specialist with over 20-years’ experience in residential projects within the UK and has been instrumental in the successful delivery of many affordable housing schemes and residential care projects for a multitude of sector clients.
Paul is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor by training and leads the affordable housing and residential care specialist teams in Cambridge and Peterborough for the affordable housing and residential care specialist sector.
His work on the Davis Langdon National affordable housing sub-sector steering group enables him to impart the latest initiative and best practice to his clients and helps ensure consistency of service offering across the Davis Langdon offices in the South East, including London, where Davis Langdon are looking to increase their sector coverage.
His affordable housing experience in the UK includes the UK’s first certified rural Passivhaus affordable housing scheme, South of Cambridge, a pre-cast concrete framed Code 4 development of 108nr flats for sale and rent in Brixton, Paul has also been involved in multiple Care and Extra care developments around the UK.
Paul’s particular expertise is in the strategic development of procurement strategies and pre-construction value based thinking to help his clients maximise their spend and create efficiencies in the development programme.
